We supply Three Business SIM only plans for businesses that already have their phones, buy them outright, or need SIMs for tablets, laptops and routers. The range is built from a few products:

Three's 4G network covers 99% of the UK population (outdoor coverage). Three Business SIMs are 5G-ready, so you can use 5G where Three has 5G coverage and your device supports it. You can check 4G and 5G coverage at any postcode on Three's business coverage checker; where 5G shows as available, in most cases you can use it for mobile internet, calls and texts.

Unlimited data, minutes and texts are UK only, and fair use policies apply in Go Roam destinations. The plan, term and price for your lines are confirmed at quote.

Phone SIMs on 1, 12 or 24-month plans

Three Business SIM Only plans come on three contract lengths, so you can match the commitment to each line:

• 24-month plans: the longest term, and the one that lets you add inclusive roaming to an unlimited UK data plan
• 12-month plans: a shorter commitment for teams that expect to review their mobiles within a year
• 1-month plans: a rolling plan for temporary staff, projects or lines you want to keep flexible

The voice plans are Unlimited Data, 500GB, 80GB, 25GB and 3GB, each with unlimited UK minutes and texts, so each person can have the data they actually use. Inclusive minutes and texts cover calls and texts to UK mobiles and to UK landlines starting 01, 02 or 03. Voice plans include Personal Hotspot in the UK, so staff can share their data allowance with a laptop or tablet.

Three Business SIMs work in phones and tablets, and for tablets a data only SIM plan is usually the better fit. Three runs a 4G and 5G network, so for calls a phone uses 4G Calling (also called VoLTE); we can check your handsets with you before you order. Data only SIMs for tablets, laptops and routers

Three Business data only SIMs come in Unlimited, 500GB and 80GB data on 24-month plans, each as an eSIM or a physical SIM, and Three has further data SIM plans to suit other devices. Unlimited usage is UK only, with fair use policies in Go Roam destinations. They suit tablets, laptops with a SIM slot or eSIM, mobile broadband routers and devices in vehicles. Keep voice SIMs in phones and data SIMs in data devices, and each line stays on the right plan.

For a portable hub, Three Business Mobile Broadband (also called MiFi or mobile Wi-Fi) connects up to 32 devices on unlimited data over 4G and 5G (unlimited data is UK only; fair use policies apply in Go Roam destinations). eSIM on every Three Business plan

All Three Business plans are eSIM compatible, so you can choose an eSIM on any plan, as long as your device supports eSIM. An eSIM is a digital SIM built into the device and activated with a QR code:

• Set up staff wherever they are: the first download of the eSIM profile needs an internet connection, and each QR code works once
• Harder to misuse: an eSIM cannot be removed if a phone is lost or stolen, and it can be deactivated remotely
• Two numbers on one phone: a dual SIM device can run two eSIMs, or an eSIM and a physical SIM, side by side
• Keep your number: you can port an existing number to an eSIM, just as with a physical SIM
• Roams like a SIM card: an eSIM roams like a physical SIM when roaming is enabled on the account, subject to any Spend Caps or Data Caps
• New phone, same line: an eSIM can move to a new phone, sometimes with a new QR code

Multibuy SIM plans for teams

Three Business Multibuy SIM plans (Three also calls them Boundless) bring unlimited data business SIMs together for a team:

• Up to 9 unlimited data SIMs: for the people who use the most data, with larger teams confirmed at quote; unlimited usage is UK only, with fair use in Go Roam destinations
• Optional inclusive roaming: mix roaming SIMs and standard SIMs on the same plan
• Physical SIM or eSIM: whichever suits each device
• 12 or 24-month terms: with roaming SIMs on 24 months

Roaming with Three Business

When your team works abroad, Three Business lets you use your allowances in over 160 Go Roam destinations, grouped into three zones: Go Roam in Europe, Go Roam Around the World and Go Roam Around the World Extra.

• Daily charge or inclusive roaming: unless your plan includes roaming, a daily charge per SIM unlocks your UK allowance for 24 hours (ask us for details); the Republic of Ireland and the Isle of Man are excluded from the daily charge
• Inclusive roaming on just the SIMs that need it: on a 24-month unlimited UK data plan, add Go Roam in Europe (49 destinations) or Go Roam Around the World Extra (163 destinations, including the 49 in Europe)
• Roaming when you need it: roaming Add-ons and Roaming Passes can be bought as trips come up
• Fair use: fair use policies apply in Go Roam destinations

Spend Caps, online account and Three Analyst

Three Business gives you the controls a business account needs:

• One account: manage multiple SIMs under one account, with VAT invoices issued as standard
• Spend Caps: limit each user's out-of-bundle spending, such as premium-rate numbers, international calls and roaming, set per SIM and changeable at any time (Add-ons are not included)
• Online account and app: monitor balances and bills, choose Add-ons and manage Spend Caps, and use the Three app on the go
• Three Analyst: Three's online bill analytics tool for billed usage and spend, in Standard and Advanced versions, included with some plans or available as an Add-on

Bring your number to Three Business

You can bring your existing numbers to Three Business with a PAC, or take new Three Business numbers. Three's switching process works like this:

1. Get a PAC: text PAC to 65075 from the number you want to keep; the PAC is free, arrives within 60 seconds and lasts 30 days. Businesses with several numbers may need to ask their current provider directly
2. Pick a switch date: up to 30 days ahead; Three says the quickest switch is within 1 working day, or 2 if requested after 5pm, at a weekend or on a bank holiday
3. Make changes if needed: changes or cancellations are possible until 5pm on the working day before the switch, an industry-wide cut-off
4. Switch day: the old SIM loses signal and the new SIM takes over; the switch can take until midnight, and the phone needs to be on Three's network in the UK for it to complete

If you would rather start fresh, a STAC lets you leave your old network, take a new Three Business number and close the old account at the same time: text STAC to 75075 from the number you are leaving.
